Just like with eating and relationships (process/behavioral addictions), you can't just cut off all ties with money and remain sober and healthy. It's time to work on your overspending and being in debt.

I've always had a bad relationship with money, but when paired with my other addictions it wasn't getting better. So now that my co-addictions are in recovery here is what I have learned about money. I hope it helps educate you and point you in the right direction on your journey to recover from money addiction. I don't offer money advice or investment advice, just general education.
Please get help from a therapist, 12 step and financial institutions and advisors that specialize in spending/debt if you can't even be trusted to have cash or card in your pocket.
